Jack A. Meyerson Bio
Jack Meyerson founded and has managed this firm for more than 25 successful years. The firm, under Jack Meyerson’s direction, is a boutique firm that is focused on the litigation of complex medical malpractice cases. Jack has served as lead trial counsel in more than 100 cases involving medical malpractice, as well as product liability claims arising from prescription drugs and dietary supplements.
Over the last twenty years, Jack has grown particularly adept at handling big cases and has guided many clients to awards and settlements in excess of $1,000,000. Jack’s significant experience in medical malpractice litigation is a cornerstone of this firm’s success and he maintains a close personal involvement with every case that we sign up. If you retain Meyerson & O’Neill for a medical malpractice litigation, Jack Meyerson will serve as lead counsel at the trial of your case.
After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1972, Jack began his career as an Assistant United States attorney and a Special Trial Attorney in the Public Integrity Section of the United States Department of Justice. Jack achieved a very high level of success prosecuting criminals in major federal trials before transitioning to private practice. As a private attorney, Jack quickly developed a reputation for being able to handle cases involving complex principles of law, complicated factual scenarios and high stakes. Indeed, one of Jack’s first big cases resulted in $2,200,000 award on behalf of a trainer for the Philadelphia Phillies who was badly injured by a defective elevator.
More recently, Jack has achieved excellent results in a variety of cases involving serious injuries and substandard medical care. More specifically, Jack has helped clients whose cases consisted of:
- wrongful death of a teenaged child from a MRSA infection and meningitis just one day after his release from a Philadelphia hospital
- wrongful death of a young widow whose dermatologist failed to administer and monitor blood tests after prescribing methotrexate
- wrongful death of a patient who died after his doctor failed to diagnose an aneurism
- wrongful death of a client whose radiologist failed to diagnose him with cancer of the kidneys
- substantial loss of eyesight after a doctor negligently performed an experimental eye surgery that was not approved by the FDA
